All alone but content within

It’s another few days trip from base.

Besides the regular activities such as window shopping, dining out, climbing mountain or visiting one of The Wonders, this trip is basically an “event-less” stay in the heart of Switzerland, Zurich.

My layover happened to fall on the weekend whereby majority of the shops, supermarkets and malls are closed.  Given such circumstances, we flight attendants, usually occupy ourselves with activities like locking ourselves in the room most time to sleep, watch movies, reading, etc. There are who visit the health club while some gather to socialise over some beers and wines.

I’m once again all alone after a breakfast gathering with several teammates.

Thanks to the advance technology that we’re living in today. I never feel “alone” at anytime, for I can still exchanging emails with my boyfriend, sms my friends back home or even video-conferencing with my sister and catch a glimpse of my lovely doggies.

Besides, I started keeping a little digital photo album in my mobile phones. It’s  for me to scroll and watch my “lou fu zhai” images which is good enough to keep me smiling to myself for a good moment.

Previously, whenever I was upset, I would always play video clips on my teddy-bear look alike Shih-tsu or my 11 month old nephew’s “laughing Buddha” clips. These clips help to pull me out from sadness and loneliness.

They are my secret magic tools to cheer myself up.

Although I’m alone outstation but I’m still constantly communicating with my loved ones in a different time zone.

I’m basically happy all by my lonesome self, plugged into my iTune while sipping a cuppa in front of my pearly white MacBook over a laid-back Sunday afternoon in Zurich...
